Seminar, one hour. Social media has become pervasive part of modern life. Students approach variety of social media phenomena from effects on mental health to meme culture to gain greater understanding why people behave as they do on social media platforms. Through assigned readings, activities, and presentations, students gain thorough appreciation and greater understanding of how we as society interact with social media, and how social media interacts with us in return.
