Seminar, three hours. Requisite: English Composition 3. First years and sophomores preferred. Focused examination of concepts of work and labor as they feature in philosophical and popular writing from 19th to 21st centuries. Topics include nature of work, its value, and its role in well-lived, meaningful human life. Satisfies Writing II requirement. Letter grading.
