Lecture, three hours; discussion, one hour. Enforced requisite: course 1. Introduction to principles of economic analysis, economic institutions, and issues of economic policy. Emphasis on aggregative economics, including national income, monetary and fiscal policy, and international trade. P/NP or letter grading.
