Very easy class. Well designed by professor and midterms/final logically follow lectures/hw
Extremely easy professor. Did not go to any lectures. The professor's typed notes are sufficient to learning the course content. Make sure to do your quizzes, as they are easy to forget about and are worth a lot.
Definitely the easiest class ever, especially since the exam is pretty straightforward. If you study, I don't see a reason why you wouldn't get an A.
Professor Wang is pretty good. Her lectures are all recorded, which is very nice and accommodating for if you're not able to make lecture. However, she can teach pretty slowly and I'm not sure we'll get through all the course content, sp if you need to learn this course material well to prepare for another class or because you want to, it may be better to take the class with a different professor.
Extremely manageable and straight forward class for 4 units. Homework was reasonable and light. Quizzes were basic, no frills. Wang basically details everything you need to know for exams, so midterm and final was just as expected and straight to the point. A majority of the class will finish the exam in half the time or less. Solid for checking off the 33B requirement for non-math majors, but if you need to take a class that requires a strong diff eq background, you're better off taking it with someone else.
Her lectures were super confusing, but the midterms and homework were super easy.
You will literally learn nothing in this class but it’s the easiest class I’ve taken at UCLA. I went to lecture one time and there was maybe 9 people there. She usually only lectures for ~35 min of the class. She tells you the exact questions that will be on the midterm and final and she barely changes exams between quarters. There are 6 homework’s and 4 online quizzes (idk why she has quizzes they’re like identical to the hw) and there’s like 2-3 easy problems on each. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to get an A in this class, but if you actually need to know diffeqs for future classes maybe take it w a different prof. But great experience for me personally.
All lectures were recorded and I never attended them in person. I hardly used to textbook so probably not worth the purchase. Notes are provided by Prof Wang which took the place of the textbook. She also makes sure that you are prepared for the midterm and final and tells which topics will be covered during them.
WANG IS GOATED. If you're a math major, you'd probably disagree because you definitely left with no knowledge from her; however, if you're looking for an EASY A, Wang has you covered. Her lectures are a bit wacky--I stopped watching after the midterm, but you could genuinely learn all her course material from videos or her quick examples in class, practice her previous exams from past quarters, and you will easily pass. Take this class at your own risk; you might not learn much.
Lectures were short and just from the notes, midterm and final are pretty easy.
