Survey of major emerging and contemporary technologies and their potential uses in and impact on live performance, from augmented and virtual reality to electronic textiles, Internet of Things, and Modern approaches to artificial intelligence. Offers solid basis for engaging in future collaborations with technologists, for self-study of new technologies, and, for those already more familiar with digital technologies, theoretical background for engaging with social context of these technologies.
