    Quarter Taken: Fall 2023 In-Person
    Grade: A+

One of the few history classes that I enjoyed taking. The lectures are more oral rather than visual, so it takes a few days for me to get used to taking notes while the Professor speaks. The professor does repeat important key terms and phrases so I have more time to write down the main themes. There were three papers that we had to write and a final exam. They were really simple as long as you put in effort in reading, revising, and paying attention in the lecture.

Professor Camacho is very approachable and you can see from the way he teaches that he is passionate about the subject. Overall the class was very chill--there are 3 big writing assignments + the final, so it was a relatively light/decent workload. From what I heard, essay grading and leniency varied quite a bit depending on the TA, and I believe my TA could have prepped us better for the final and just reviewed more of what Keith taught(we usually left the discussion 20-30 mins before dismissal time). Also Keith does not specify what specific % between 93 and 94 is an A so it was up to the TAs to decide, and so a 93.5 was considered an A- by my TA.
