This was a tough class. Really, really tough. But there isn't another professor I wish I'd taken it with than Tyler. He explains concepts well. Reading the textbook can be difficult, but Tyler encapsulates the course content in his notes and in the lectures. My advice: don't fall behind quickly. Take notes during lecture and just briefly review them afterwards to keep it fresh in your mind. When he assigns homework, do 1-2 problems each day you have lecture and leave the last few for the weekend before they're due.
This should help make the class manageable and keep the content fresh in your mind. You can get a good grade if you set yourself up for success - it's impossible to cram mathematics because you need consistent, piece-by-piece practice. But you don't need anything beyond what you do in lecture, the homework or in discussion or office horus to be great.
