Worker and Community Organizing for Social Change: Research Justice Internship

Tutorial, to be arranged; fieldwork, eight to 10 hours. Students work intensively with community organization on structured activity that supports organization's mission and student's intellectual development. Students meet regularly with graduate student instructor to reflect on internship experience, assigned readings, and reflective writing assignments. Students complete final paper that links research and experience. May be repeated for credit with consent of Center for Community Engagement. No more than 8 units may be applied toward major; units applied must be taken for letter grade. Letter grading.
