Programming for Geospatial Data Science I

Lecture, two hours; laboratory, two hours. Requisite: course 401. Conceptual and practical instruction in use of scripting, automation, and computer programming within geospatial sciences. Students use Python programming language to develop geospatial processing scripts and applications, making use of popular geospatial data manipulation libraries. Introduction of computer programming concepts and theory in practical context. Letter grading.
