Studio, one hour of individual instruction; outside study, seven hours. Limited to junior/senior Global Jazz Studies majors. Study of jazz repertoire and techniques for specific instruments and voice. Grades are assigned by studio instructor in fall and winter quarters and by jury examination in spring quarter. May be repeated for maximum of 12 units. Letter grading.
