Sociology of Gender and Sexuality

(Same as Sociology M238.) Seminar, three hours. Designed for graduate students. Analysis of current American feminist theory relevant to sociologists. Exploration of critiques of second wave feminism by working class feminists and/or feminists of color, feminist scholars from other countries, and recent so-called antifeminist feminists. Discussion of directions for future feminist sociology. Letter grading.
