Gendered Politics and Chicana/Latina Political Participation
(Formerly numbered Chicana and Chicano Studies 149.) Lecture, four hours. Examination of Chicanas and Latinas as participants, organizers, and leaders in communities, workplaces, labor unions, and government. Survey of Chicanas/Latinas in politics and as policymakers in appointed and elected offices. Analysis of gendering of politics and political behavior. Letter grading.
