Electronics for Physics Measurement

(Formerly numbered 117.) Lecture, two hours; laboratory, four hours. Requisites: courses 1A, 1B, and 1C (or 1AH, 1BH, and 1CH), Mathematics 32B, 33A, 33B. Hands-on experimental course to develop understanding of design principles in modern electronics for physics measurements. Broad introduction to analog and digital electronics from practical viewpoint, followed by examination of typical circuits for scientific instrumentation and study of methods of computer data acquisition and signal processing. Letter grading.
