Introduction to Pharmacoepidemiology

Lecture, two hours. Requisite: course 100 or 200A, or Public Health 200A and 200B. Pharmacoepidemiology is application of epidemiologic knowledge, reasoning, and methods to study of effects and uses of drugs. Survey of contemporary roles of pharmacoepidemiology in drug development and public health, with historical background of its evolution and projections of future prospects. S/U or letter grading.
