(This review is for FILM TV 113 - Film Authors: Sirk, Fassbinder, and Haynes) This is probably my favorite film class I've taken at UCLA. Professor Horak is very knowledgeable and I liked the way he organized his lectures into specific topics. Some of my favorite lecture topics were German Exile Cinema, New Queer Cinema, and Queer German Cinema. The films were excellent and the readings were interesting. There was one midterm (multiple choice and short answer exam) and a final essay, both of which were easily manageable if you attend lecture and are interested in the class.
