The class is pretty straightforward as long as you attend the one lecture each week and do your best to pay attention to the main concepts. Discussion section is really important because they go over activities that help you complete the research assignments which build on each other. The major assignments were a field notes research assignment outside of UCLA campus, a semi-structured interview with a non-PA 116 student, and a final research essay that pulls from data from interviews in your class section.
