Professor Smith was so sweet and cared a lot about her students. The course was not hard, and the topics were pretty interesting. Recommend to all students!
This class is super interesting and a very easy intro to psychology. You go over some brain anatomy and a lot of cognitive topics. You also have to make some surveys and analyze the data you collect, but it's super simple. Part of the class is also participating in SONA studies, which gives you some insight into some psych research topics
I really enjoyed psych 10. Very straightforward and clear. The professor was very understanding and very helpful when we needed help. Her office hours were a blast. All the ta's were helpful as well. The midterms and exams were straightforward and very fair.
I thought this class was fairly easy and interesting. Provided a solid introduction to psychology concepts. I did not enjoy the group project, but that was largely due to my group members. Overall I highly recommend this course.
The lectures were extremely engaging despite it being a 2 hour long lecture. This is because she presents topics in a very intriguing way and includes lots of videos/interactive activities.
The class was very straight-forward. Both the midterm and final were timed but online, so they were relatively easy and most answers were pulled from the slides.
Strong professor who gives lots of opportunities to learn the material. I would suggest taking it with this professor especially if you are not a psych major, as she tailors the curriculum to help with pre-med and pre-dental exams.
Paquitte Smith is an amazing teacher. She's concise and clear to the point. Definitely take her class if you can.
tHIS PROFESSOR IS A GOAT!! ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
Very memorization based class. Took as a filler in my schedule, did not satisfy any GE's for me, but was still able to get an A with minimal attention paid in class. Just make sure to get the required SONA credits done early, preferably within the first 3 weeks, and memorizing concepts is much of the effort you need to put to get an A.
