Professor Klein is a very engaging lecturer and presents the information in a clear manner. However, lectures are not recorded and he jumps around the course reader so I would not recommend missing classes. The midterm exam was fair but there were a few nuances/tricks in the material that came up on the exam so paying attention to lectures is vital. Grading is only midterm and final. Homework problems are optional but the textbook is not free and not required for the course. Professor Klein posted a few practice midterm and final questions, but they were not super useful for the exams.
the lectures were very interesting! the teacher tends to tell a lot of funny anecdotes that relate to the concepts of tax principles.
