Lecture, two hours. Preparation: at least one course in epidemiology, biostatistics, and genetics. Basic concepts in emerging field of genetic epidemiology, with principal focus on genetic study of complex diseases, determining genetic contributions to disease, identifying genes, and characterizing their main effects and interactions with environmental factors.
