This was neither the best nor the worst.
Professor Pérez is definitely knowledgeable about political psychology. Like, to the point of it being a problem. Indeed, I'd say the main weakness of the class is that Professor Pérez spends more time name-dropping other researchers and in the field and talking about where they work and how he knows them than actually reviewing concepts in an easily understandable way. I'm sure his connections are great if you want to try to research with him. In class, it came off to me as bragging and getting in the way of the content. Wasn't helped by the fact that the last two weeks of content were spent just talking about his book that's about to come out.
The class was pretty technical. If you are interested in taking a class that reviews the principles of political psychology, there's a chance you will be disappointed. If you are looking for a class on how research is conducted in political science and critiques on methodology, this is the class for you.
My TA, Alexandria Davis, was great. If you are taking this course you should prioritize getting her if possible.
