Mathur is an amazing professor that is passionate about the course. My TA graded relatively easily. Discussions are required but zoom is allowed with reasonable excuse. Lectures were recorded. Only a few readings were necessary for 2 in-class reading quizzes (5 multiple-choice) and one paper. These readings were enough to do well on the midterm. The final is take-home but ours was waived due to the TA strike. Very few assignments, 3 easy papers, and a slightly longer exhibition review essay. Highly recommend.

Professor Mathur is an incredible professor. She's really enthusiastic about the course and is eager about all her students succeeding in the course. Her lectures are very organized. Doing the readings and attending discussion sections will prepare you well enough for the assessments in the class. Taking this course with professor Mathur was a pleasant experience

The class was very interesting, but the required readings were very important to read for the class and were often extensive and boring. Mathurs is a great lecturer and the material was fun to learn.
