Seminar, three hours. Preparation: graduate-level knowledge of Greek. Practice in translation of previously unseen texts from variety of Greek authors and genres. Topics include peculiarities of style and vocabulary of distinct genres, literary versus scholarly translation, semantic properties of particular words and constructions. May be repeated for credit with topic change. S/U grading.
