Seminar, three hours. Consideration of the deep history of racialized displacement in Los Angeles to generate new lines of critique and possibility into the contemporary struggle over displacement. Study engages in a case-study approach to explore the histories of race, gender, sovereignty, conquest, property, public policy, commons, class, and economies of shelter. Letter grading.
