Holistic principles of artist management including articulating and moving forward artistic vision, coordinating multiple revenue streams, psychology of managing artists and creative mind, and ethical practices in artist management. Basics of negotiation and compensation; artist promotion; career shaping; legal aspects of artist management; contemporary Internet-based strategies for artist promotion; merchandising and monetizing fandom. Students work to discover, sign, and break local artists across numerous genres. Letter grading.
