Fundamentals of Embedded Networked Systems

(Same as Electrical and Computer Engineering M119.) Lecture, four hours; discussion, one hour; outside study, seven hours. Requisites: courses 33; 118 or Electrical and Computer Engineering 132B; one course from Civil and Environmental Engineering 110, Electrical and Computer Engineering 131A, Mathematics 170A, 170E, Statistics 100A. Design trade-offs and principles of operation of cyber physical systems such as devices and systems constituting Internet of Things. Topics include signal propagation and modeling, sensing, node architecture and operation, and applications. Letter grading.
