Lecture, three hours. Requisite: course 100 or 200A or Public Health 200A. Introduction to practical concepts and issues in conducting epidemiologic field research in low resource settings, including formulating research questions, study site selection, ethical considerations, and logistics of data and specimen collection. S/U or letter grading.
