Development and Regeneration of Craniofacial Complex
Lecture, two hours. Focus on cell biology and molecular mechanisms that direct formation of different vertebrate head structures during embryonic development, as well as their abilities to regenerate in adults. Examination of genetic and signaling regulation of craniofacial patterning, morphogenesis, cell differentiation, evolution, and stern cell-based organ regeneration, through both didactic lectures and critical reading of primary research literature. Letter grading.
