Lecture, three hours. Requisite: course 102. The early part of the 21st century was characterized by several revolutionary changes to the conduct of monetary policy. To understand these changes, review of theoretical models and historical events. Development of a series of policy recommendations for the Federal Reserve given the current state of the U.S. economy, and presentation and written documentation of these ideas.
