Financial Institutions and Monetary Policy

Lecture, three hours; discussion, one hour. Limited to Master of Quantitative Economics students. Study of complex financial architecture that has emerged in last several years, and its evolution over time. Covers institutional detail, and theoretical and empirical research on monetary policy. Development of some basic models and production of Python code to produce plots regarding relevant data. Letter grading.
