Seminar, one hour; discussion, 90 minutes. Students are introduced to research in their discipline with an eye to social justice, racial equity, and excellence. Students are encouraged to use their personal, family, and community knowledge and expertise to inform their research questions, methodologies, and outcomes. Students are introduced to research discourse, and empowered to use this experience for their future professional goals. Letter grading.
