    Quarter Taken: Spring 2023 In-Person
    Grade: A

Professor North KNOWS his stuff. The most admirable thing about him is his lectures: for an hour straight, he'll come into the lecture room with nothing but book and talk for an hour straight. He's a passionate man who has his moments of monotony, but otherwise, I found him to be pretty engaging even though I had my moments of boredom.

The most important thing is that you know the central themes, general story, and how you will integrate these into your writings (discussion posts, midterm, final, etc.). I found this to be immensely helpful especially if I didn't find the book to be particularly enjoyable.

Otherwise, this class was pretty easy as long as you put the work in and know how to unload yourself whenever possible. The TA's were also pretty great and personable: they knew this was a GE class but still found ways to keep us engaged.
