This was one of the best courses I have ever taken at UCLA; while the readings at times were relatively lengthy, the course instructor and TA team are extremely accommodating in regards to student mental health (i.e. offering reasonable extensions, acting as a mental health resource if talking is necessary, etc.).
I took this course as an elective for an education minor, and if you're interested in education, I would definitely recommend looking into Dr. Share's classes. The class was broken into semi-weekly assignments (which included readings in preparation for in-class socratic seminars and guest speakers), as well as a quarter-long project (that you're given time in class to complete), and a final paper (which details many concepts listed in your quarter-long project). The course itself was relatively easy to manage on top of my other commitments, and I feel that integrating this elective into one's schedule (even as a diehard STEM major) would be relatively simple.
