Creating Context and Collaborative Projects

Studio, three hours; outside study, six hours. Focus on collaborative, cooperative, and curatorial artists' practice that takes place beyond traditional and familiar venues. Study of examples of impactful historical and ongoing initiatives, specifically those that endeavor to create context for new artistic practices. Students work collaboratively to organize a culminating public facing event. May be repeated once for credit. Letter grading.
