Principles of Materials Science I
Lecture, four hours; discussion, one hour; outside study, seven hours. Requisite: course 120. Lattice dynamics and thermal properties of solids, classical and quantized free electron theory, electrons in a periodic potential, transport in semiconductors, dielectric and magnetic properties of solids.
