I think I lost knowledge in this course. Don't take a class with barr.
This class was highly unenjoyable. Professor does not release answer keys to problem sets at exams are way too far fetched. Professor acts as though he cares, but ultimately this is just a facade.
Barr is a journey through the 10 weeks - while you might get a good grade at the end, the entire quarter is definitely an experience, going from Office Hours to the Midterms to the Homework. Just know that you will have to prioritize this class in order to suceed.
Professor Barr did not provide any solutions to problem sets and this had to be the biggest inconvenience about this class. Despite the unstructured lectures and unhelpful office hours, if you do above median you’ll end up with a decent grade.
Lectures did not properly prepare us for any of the exams. The guy is also way too pretentious about his teaching ability despite not actually teaching us with enough depth to solve exam questions
Class is unnecessarily difficult, but you definitely learn a whole lot. Just do the PSETS and go to office hours!
Partial credit was given very leniently, participation required in discussion, but some content on tests were very obscure.
Don't take 20B with Barr if possible. His class requires a lot more effort than other lower div courses.
A lot of people stress out about this class, but if you’re relatively savvy at school, you can do well without much effort - especially if you’ve taken AP chem.
