This was one of the most interesting and easiest classes I have taken as you learn more about how to meditate and practice mindfulness awareness. The overall class grade was out of 270 points (240+ is an A) broken into multile parts:
Attendance: 50 points
Weekly meditation practice reports: 30 points
5 journals (1/week and roughly 1 page): 35 points
Mindfulness project: 50 points
Take-home final/attending retreat: 50 points
Research paper/attending extra events: 55 points
Professor Belzer is very passionate for meditation and mindfulness. Both the professor and their staff created an environment where learning feels effortless and engaging. The course is structured in a way that encourages exploration and personal growth, without the typical pressures of rigorous academia. Also an easy A as well!
