Lecture, three hours. Requisite: course 100 or 200A or Public Health 200A. Ascertainment of infection, transmission, and epidemiological parameters rather than clinical and pathological aspects. Specific diseases discussed in depth to illustrate epidemiologic principles. S/U or letter grading.
