(Same as Chicana/o and Central American Studies M257.) Seminar, three hours. Examination of relationship between Marxism, intersectionality, and early-Chicana/o Marxist influenced intellectual thought. Focus on key debates and texts on connections between race, gender, sexuality, and capitalism. Review of key articles and books examining Chicana/o identity, labor, family, sexuality, and activism through Marxist theoretical framework. S/U or letter grading.
