It’s necessary to go to every class and do the readings as the classes are seminar style where you guide your own learning. There are no tests but there is a final paper that’s worth 70% of your grade.
There is only one final paper, no exams, and he is pretty passionate about what he lectures! I got an A- in the class only because I accidentally turned in the final essay a couple hours late. He's pretty nice and you need to do the weekly readings but you honestly can just sparknotes it if you can find it online!
