Study of historic costume as manifestation of cultural, social, economic, and political influences to provide historical framework for design of costumes for theater, film, and television. Survey of history of Western costume and civilian attire with global emphasis. May be repeated once for credit. Concurrently scheduled with course C404I. Letter grading.
