Lecture, four hours; discussion, one hour; outside study, seven hours. Basics of graph theory, including trees, bipartite graphs and matching, vertex and edge coloring, planar graphs and networks. Emphasis on reducing real-world engineering problems to graph theory formulations. Letter grading.
