I don't really recommend Qin's lecture due to the huge workload. There are two midterm papers and one final exam and one final paper. It's kinda too much for a GE.

This class was alright, but I think that was mainly because I already had a general idea of the history of China. That isn't required but it will make taking the course easier. The class was made up of 2 short papers and 1 long paper, a final, and then participation during discussions. If you don't know much about the history of China, maybe I would recommend reading the textbook but if you don't care that much then that's up to you. Pay attention during lecture, or read the slides on your own time since that's basically everything she covers, and do the readings for the discussion sections and you should be fine.

Professor Qin is super kind and accommodating! The lectures are not mandatory, and there are two papers as well as a final paper due. The final is based entirely on the review seshes she does and were curved generously. I would recommend this class as an easy GE!
