Make sure to use the midterm prep that he provides
Mozzoco is a great professor. You get what you put in this class.
He is enthusiastic about his lectures, which make the class more enjoyable. Lectures were recorded. Midterms and the final have a lot of questions, so make sure you manage your time wisely during exam.
Professor Mazzocco is a super kind guy, he just isn’t a strong instructor. What he teaches in class is very general which makes it difficult to apply the material to exam questions that ask about very specific scenarios. Exams are also too long to complete in the allotted time, meaning you have to just guess on a lot of the questions. Personally, I was frustrated because I understood the material conceptually, but it was just too difficult to apply my knowledge on the exams and get a passing grade.
I liked how the professor made the midterms similar formats to the practice midterms. The instructor could've done better with doing more realistic practice problems in class.
Mazzocco is a good teacher and there is a generous curves. Exams aren't the easiest but the curve carries and an A is easily possible
Econ 11 is a difficult class, and considered a weeder class, so it was no surprise to me that it was a difficult course. Marzocco's class was especially difficult in my opinion, as it was particularly math-heavy, and he did not necessarily do a great job explaining those concepts. Make sure to do all the practice problem sets and homeworks.
