Every section was first a lecture about new content, then a discussion about the reading assignments posted the week prior. There would then be some sort of activity where we ate some kind of Mexican food. I thought the class was alright, but it was a lot about the history of Mexican food, and for me personally, it wasn't very interesting. At the end of the course, we had to do a research project about some topic we chose that had to do with Mexican food. This project consisted of interviewing a person knowledgeable in the field, writing a transcript, and then discussing the implications of what was discussed in a paper. Overall, it was alright and the professor was very nice (we had an outing to go visit some Mexican restaurants too).
