This was a great class, and prepared me well for physics 5b. Tung is a really good teacher, and you should try to take him if possible. He teaches you really well and makes class fun.
Pretty straightforward class, professor gave a bit of extra credit. Biggest tip is to study the practice problems from the discussion section, those helped a lot.
Tung was very straightforward and everything on his exams was nothing new. If you're going to take 5A take it with Tung
One of the best lecturers I met at UCLA! Great lecture experience, fair homework. His exams required you to put into work and thoughts into the problems and concepts though.
I enjoyed 5a w/ tung bc his exams are pretty similar to what he teaches in class. You get a one sided cheat sheet for each midterm and he also has in class extra credit participation points.
