Professor is so organized and thorough. You will learn a lot but it is worth it. I definitely became good at reading scientific papers. Group projects were annoying.
Only material is textbook, make sure to go through it before every test. Professor is super knowledgable but doesn't highlight the main points that are tested in class.
Overall, would not recommend with Kellman. Class consisted of us reading scholarly articles and then coming to class and him talking about them with no lecture powerpoints or structure. Midterm and final were therefore hard and confusing. Said he would curve the final grades but was unclear if this actually occured at the end of the quarter.
Grades are curved, weekly homework assignments.
Time consuming class. If you don’t dump hours into this class you won’t get an A, simple as that. Textbook is long, full of fluff and difficult to read. Kellman’s lectures are decent as he’s a good lecturer but he does not have slides.
