Great class and an awesome professor. There are 3 exams in total non-cumulative. Make sure to make other questions from the practice exams when studying.

Professor Trott was a great lecturer. I found the concepts pretty repetitive over time, but the content was at least well explained. He offered open-note exams, but they were more application-based. He also doesn't round grades up. I recommend taking thorough notes on everything he says during lecture, so you can use them during the exam. He also offers a short answer bonus question immediately after each exam.
