Pretty decent class. Exams can seem tricky at first, but being open note helps make them very manageable. Lecture attendance is not mandatory and they were recorded and weekly homework barely takes any time.
The exams are pretty difficult with the class average being pretty low.
Overall, the class isn't a lot of work. There is a weekly assignment and quiz.
Lectures are interesting, but you have to fill out the slides a lot with the stuff Professor Wassum says. Tests are meant to be confusing af but aren't cumulative
You ABSOLUTELY must attend lectures or watch her lecture recordings because basically everything that she says verbally is more important that what is shown visually on the slides. The class is basically entirely Classical and Operant conditioning, with some other topics such as habituation, extinction, etc. Wassum is very VERY helpful and responds to discussion board questions in record time and with comprehensive answers. She clearly cares a lot about students understanding the material. I recommend this class!
Class attendance isn't mandatory but the class is difficult if you don't show up. However, the lectures are recorded. The slides alone don't explain the concepts that the teacher is going over.
