This class was really enriching. Yes, I received the grade I expected. The tests were very well.
Lectures were always very organized! Professor Nonacs is very helpful and his lectures were very engaging as well!
Lectures were pretty good for both professors, and both are very passionate about the subject that they cover. There were some readings and you had to read research papers and do weekly quizzes on material and the paper you would read. You also had to do a group presentation with 1-3 other people on a paper one week. That strike ended up making things a little bit crazy but not too much so. But they were so vague about the exams that I felt like it hit me like a truck. Instead of being just tested in the concepts that they taught about, you were tested on the specific example that had in their lectures. You have to know the scientific Latin names of species and names of the researchers who conducted the experiment otherwise you won’t even understand the questions. And the midterm and final are both like 40% of your grade. Section was require but did little to actually help your grade.
