Don't take this class. Lectures are boring and not engaging with very long and dense slides (100+). Dr. F reads off the screen, does not look at his class, and mumbles as if he's only talking to himself. The tests are alright but since he's not the best lecturer it is very easy to misinterpret the concepts and study things entirely wrong if you rely on the slides alone. He includes a bunch of images and diagrams and does not explain them well so if you are self-studying then you're prone to getting it completely wrong. Pick a diff upper div if you can.

I heard bad things about Dr. Fuchser, but his class was easier than I expected. The main issue is that his slide sets are TOO long (like 100+ slides) and the way he lectures is kind of confusing. However, he is clear about what will be on the exam (and includes study slides at the end of each slide set so you know what topics to focus on). His exams were not as bad as I thought- multiple choice, in-person, no notes. Overall, not a bad class at all assuming you do pay attention during class and review before the exams.

I would recommend to take another class if you can, this is class is a lot of material. I still haven't finished the course, but I would try to get another one if you can.
